proxlamus©
Hey guys.. I have been learning how to tune.. and been having a slight issue... at rest, under no load .. such as idle I can tune the MAP for the perfect AFR for me 13.0 AFR to be safe... and also while cruising at different points... however... under a load, such as climbing up a hill, or slowly accelerating from a dead stop such as a stop light.. I get spikes of like 20 AFR - 30AFR ... how can I tune so it stays lean at idle and cruise, but also doesn't go lean under heavy load?? sims76
I had the same problem as you. I tried every TPSdot combo for over a year. I switched it over to MAPdot and everything is good now.
BLOZ UP
with no or little load, I would get it at 14.7 at the LEAST, if not leaner. AE is very iffy, and I have had more success with MAPdot rather than the TPS based one. Also, I doubt your car would be really running well if it hit 20 or less to 1. Can you feel it jerk or does it go smooth? Do you have a wideband?
proxlamus©
yes I am using the innovate wideband LC-1 controller and XD-1 guage

proxlamus©
yeh i changed my fuel VE values for a certain RPM and kPA.. it was leaning out under load.. so i fixed it now =) made the values richer
badjuju
so it was just a tuning problem, not a mapdot vs tpsdot issue?
proxlamus©
Yep... but I did also change the TPS dot a little bit.. other than that.. its great
