Guest ExpertHandler Posted March 23, 2006 Share Posted March 23, 2006 just added xr3000 ignition and the alternator has finally had it the alternator was turning on and off for the last drive then finally decided to shut off and then not come back on I am looking for a good upgrade that will "more" then make up for my lack of amp's Id like something that will not have any problems with adding some serious audio amps and stereo dont know what to add Where is the best place to get the alternator that I need and how do i go about installing it ??? CptCorN Posted March 31, 2006 Share Posted March 31, 2006 In this photo: What's the purpose of the lile capacitor looking thing that mounts to the ground?... I have it, however there is no monting tab inbetween the thick white/red to the thin white/red. (I believe this is where my wire grounded out and screwed over my old alt.) Also the plug (regulator side) do the wires connect straight throuhg the plug. I believe i have an aftermarket regulator, and am hesitent to cut the main harness.
