lithium4750
Does anyone know how to adjust the bumpers? I like the crash bumpers but I would like for them to be flush against the body like I've seen on some others.
Twoeightnine
Have you considered cutting the compression tube and rewelding it? You would have to trim the rubber?
lithium4750
I've thought about that. But I don't have access to a welder. Or if I did I would have to learn how to weld. I figured I would see if I could do it now while I'm painting the car to get all that stuff out of the way.
Eric
i drilled a hole in the shocks and ran a small bead over the seam once i had it as close as i could get it. i still havn't trimmed the rubber end caps.
AK-Z
How about relocating where the bumper struts(?) are mounted on the frame. I can't look at my car right now, so i can't tell you if the radiator would be a issue if you do relocate.
cygnusx1
If it's like my 76 280Z, there is no room to move the bumper shocks backwards. You could fab some custom brackets. I don't think it's possible to trim the side rubber trim parts to look correct if you move the bumper back.
lithium4750
I know theres a way, but even if I can't do it I'm not going to wrry about it that much. It's not that big a deal. I think they look good either way.
