Scottie-GNZ
I know there are a couple of folks on here that are very familar with these products and some might even have a business that deals with them and hopefully they will see this post. I want to know the best method for removing the coating from a turbo header. Do not need to remove it from the entire header, just a portion so that the header can be modified and tig-welded. I now it is a biatch to remove with standard methods and welds will not take if not properly removed. Would sand or glass beading get the job done? 2126
Scottie, How about using a dremel and just grind or sand away the coating, in the area you intend to weld?
blueovalz
I had to fix a hole (that I thought was filled) after I had the headers coated. I simply ground the area clean, welded it, and sent it back for a re-do at a reduced cost.
