Guest Paranoid_Insider
Hi everybody. I hope I posted this in the right section. I was wondering if all the air flow meters were the same 1975 - 1978 280z models? I need one and a guy has one for sale but claims it's for 1974 - 1976 models. I could be wrong but I find it hard to believe the 260 used the same AFM. Thanks!
skipzoomie
No, They are not all the same. 1975 was the first year for the AFM.

skipzoomie
Starting in 77 the fuel pump switch was removed from the AFM and placed in the oil pressure switch. Hence the change from a seven pin connector to a five pin connector. The 77-83 NA AFM's are interchangeable. The only difference is the way they mount to the body. Guest F-Performance
Any afm can be used if recalibrated by the 'PS-PowerSport' Air-Fuel Enhancer. PN:AFE-808 II, Type: 6MM for Nissan L2x series EFI system, and this gadget can be obtained through www.speed-syndicate.net/
