Guest toadnz
I'd like to turbo an NA, simple yep, lets say I can add intercoolers, water, oil, wastegates, downpipes as needed, and rewrite ecu rom to handle the additional fuel maps etc. AH, but the turbos themselves, as its high compression I dont need much boost, but very accurate boost control, so smaller turbo with small waste gate to control ! any ideas of makes and models for this, no more than a nats breath of boost, So what is sensible max boost with STOCK NA engine ? And quickest smallest, lightest, turbo to get me there ? Also, if any turbos dont need the oil or water cooling, so much the better, but I dont know of any. thanks for your time, toadnz
onefast87
Sensible Max BOOST 6-7psi Quickest smallest, lightest turbo StockT3, your better off just buying a turbo motor but dont let me get u down on this! jason has a good website on how to turbo a 300! http://www.redz31.com GOOD LUCK
Blackbob
You can go even higher then that becuase the n/a motor is only like 9:1 compression there have been cars known to do over 600+hp on 10:1 and higher. It's all in the tunning to be honest also the VG's technically came with froged Mahle pistons and rods so go for the gold.
thehelix112
Don't take this the wrong way, but do you have any evidence of that fact bob? Dave
RedBeauty84ZX
Get a T25 off an 88-89 Z31. I believe it was Ken from z31.com that made about 450RWHP on the stock NA engine.

RedBeauty84ZX
That thread just talks about the forged rods, we already knew that. The pistons are cast.
Blackbob
And it also talks about making those same numbers I said it could make with the proper tunning.
