Has anyone came across a similar piece of wiring on a newer model Nissan?

I have been looking for the wiring connector to replace that connects to my Cylinder head temp sensor. I was wondering with all the different models of vehicles that Nissan put the VG30 in, has anyone came across a newer model Nissan I could find that has the same connectors? The way they designed these current ones with the metal clips is ridiculous.

Hehe, Yes they are but worked great for years on all kinds of cars with the Bosch L-jetronic engineering. You can buy new connectors for them at your local parts store. I haven't seen any adaptor that would allow you to "upgrade" to the new style. Not really worth it except for piece of mind and alittle agrovation.

It's been a while since I looked at one, but I think that my TBi style Pathfinder had a wire that comes out from the sensor and is able to be unpluged from up near the timing chain cover. Are the z31's not the same?

 

I replaced the CHTS connector on my L28et. The connector is very similar to a injector plug and I was able to find a version that is much improved from the Nissan connector from MSD

im asuming The coolant temp sensor???yellow head connector??try part # 24079-01p00 it fits the temp sensor part# 22630-01p01 ---has to be spliced hope this helps--part lists for about 18 us dollars

Sorry, the coolant temp sensor is on top of the head, where as the cylinder temp sensor is almost behind the timing chain cover.
