xxjoeyxxeb Posted May 28, 2006 Share Posted May 28, 2006 Hey, Chaning to the Toyota brakes tonight, and in taking out the cotter pin for the nut on the spindle, it broke. Any fixes for this? 280Zone Posted May 30, 2006 Share Posted May 30, 2006 I agree to using the correct part when available, but I think a cotter pin vs nail I'd trust my life to the nail. VRJoe Posted May 31, 2006 Share Posted May 31, 2006 The cotter pin is actually better, it's softer an less susceptible to fatigue. Plus it's a lot easier to remove.
