Globerunner513
make sure you guys notice the counter-rotating propeller (cut off). not too common, but i can't think of any planes that have it.... and i know planes haha
Chewievette
Congrats Pete S! It is infact a Fiat A.S.6 engine from the M.C.72. Basically two A.S.5 V12s put together, more power, same frontal area. The plane still holds the record for the worlds fastest piston sea plane. 440+mph!! My absolute favorite aircraft of all time, its just so sexy and powerful. Globerunner513
Holy crap...thats insane! i figured an engine of that size would only be on some heavy transport...not some dinky seaplane that probably weighs less than the engine itself!! That seaplane is (was?) a speed record holder. I'd imagine it was built for exactly that purpose. Fast and beautiful.
