700r4 manual valve body and overdrive question

I've asked questions about this before but I just wanted to confirm from you guys that have or know of a full manual valve body in a 700r4 automatic. I'm not as knowledgable on automatic trannys as I'd like to be, right now I have an I think stage II b&m shift kit and it's great but it will not shift into overdrive at full throttle and there are times when I'd like it to. I've heard that even a factory tranny is supposed to but I've taken it to 6k and it will just stay in 3rd and I let off and get back on it it goes back to 3rd. If I install a full manual valve body will it go into overdrive when I want it to? And also is this going to be terrible for my transmission?

Thanks, Nathan

I'll check out the site, the tv cable is pulled all the way out at wot as far as I've read I think thats right. I know its went quite a lot of miles since I finished it and the tranny fluid isn't showing any signs of wearing clutches and it still operates properly

Mine does the same thing. I wish someone would come up with a definite answer. I've done several 700R4's (4L60) and never had this problem with any of them. I've asked a lot of people this question and have yet to get the fix. Probably something really simple that I've overlooked.
