Sumo
I was working on getting my 75 Z out of storage so i rebuilt and repaired a stuck left rear brake. Drained the tank, put new plugs and wires then i was going to clean the fusible link spade connections. Then i as i pulled one of the fusible links, the spade broke off from the fusible link holder! Question is can i just snip off the wire directly below where there is a 'nub' now and connect the fusible link to the wire temporarily? I just need to get it out of that spot and fix it properly later.
dapiper
We just broke one this weekend and it its not standard 0.25" blade but slightly larger, otherwise you could repair. Get a quad Maxi fuse block and demo the plastic cups.
Sumo
I'll get the maxi fuse later but for now im just going to cut the wire below the fusible link holder. Then i'll directly connect the fusible link to the wire below the nub just to get the car out of the storage area. When i get a better area to work in i'll do the proper repairs, it's too hot to work where the car is right now.
spotfitz
, it's too hot to work where the car is right now. You got that right. Let me know when you want to get a Maxi box. Check my pics to see which one I have and if you like it I'll sell you one pretty cheap. I bought bulk.

Thanks for the offer spotfitz, i have a 75Z and have one fusible link holder and one of the spade connectors just basically fell off. So i managed to cut it off the holder and temporarily connect it to the fusible link directly. I got some help and pushed the car out anyway because for some reason i'm not getting power to ignition and fuel, so it looks like i'll be chasing some gremlins for a while. By the way nice install:2thumbs:

THAT still sounds like fusible links or ignition switch. By the way nice install:2thumbs: Thanks. My project has been stalled since just before the convention. I just ran out of money trying to get it finished FOR the convention. Go figure... I'll be posting another update soon, hopefully.
