Guest dillonboone Posted June 27, 2006 Share Posted June 27, 2006 i have a 1971 240z i am wanting to swap a 350 sb into it because i have one that is rebuilt...i need to know if there is an adapter for a 280 5sp transmission... the engine i am running now is a 240 top end with a 280 bottom end and transmissoin...please help... buZy Posted June 27, 2006 Share Posted June 27, 2006 It may be wiser to just swap in a t5 t56 or easier yet a GM auto. I'm no Z expert, but have never heard of an adapter kit commonly used for the 280 5spd. Even if there is one I dont think it would last behind your V8 for very long.
