zcarnut
Hmmm, I don't recall having to cut studs, ... You can use the ZX booster with the spacer and without cutting studs. It just depends on how much room you have in the engine compartment. With my triple carb setup space is limited and the ZX booster just fit into my 260Z:

With my triple carb setup space is limited and the ZX booster just fit into my 260Z: I have enough room but I may decide to remove the spacer anyway. I may need the extra space later when I update the induction system. Thanks for the pic... nice carbs.
zcarnut
....[b']Does anyone know which four piston caliper kit is the best deal?[/b] I have rebuilt over two dozen Toyota four-piston calipers and I only use the Beck/Arnley brand. Excellent quality. One thing I like about them is that their seal securing rings are plated (yellow dichromate) to resist rust whereas the other kits just use a bare steel ring. Ask for Beck/Arnley part number 071-7173. This kit will do two calipers.
spotfitz
I did not have time to down size these pics and will need to pull them down after a week or two due to the size of them. Ironically, I am leaving now to replace a brake booster on a '94? Aurora with only 40K on the odometer. Here are the pics; First being early '74 260Z with a measured 8" '82 ZX booster and 15/16 ZX master: http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=8309 Second being slightly different view showing the lack of spacer: http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=8307 The third being a side view just for reference: http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=8310&cat=500 The fourth being early '77 280Z coupe(daily driver) with standard booster and 7/8 master: http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=8308&cat=500 Another view: http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=8311&cat=

No problem. I just need the space for a future update. If you need pics of the ZX let me know. I just have to pull the cover off and snap some shots.
