I was looking for this turbo(holset hy35w) on the web and after an hour I found two different kind of turbos, one with an elbow in the outlet of the compressor side, and other without it, are they the same unit? maybe diff year? or what? Guest 280ZForce Posted July 19, 2006 Share Posted July 19, 2006 good price on them can be found for around $250-$400 usually depending on the condition and mileage and what not. The starting point of power will vary depending on your mods...I've heard they will start around 3200 rpm on a relatively stock turbo motor, but I can't say for sure. This turbo starts getting efficient around 15 psi or so and is capable of around 40 psi. Downpipe I am using is a 4" v-band clamp section that goes w/ that turbo (can be bought on ebay or from Dodge if seller doesnt sell w/ the turbo), then after the 4" elbow I have a welded 3.5"-3" mandrel bent downpipe used for the remainder of it.
