  1. I have been looking at the 2.7tt to fit the S30, but turbos would have to be relocated. Really like the idea of using a audi engine in the Datsun, but I am from europe Also the R36 from Passat would be nice. Short engine and 300 hp I have a Audi A4 B4 with a 3.2l from Golf in it with turbo, the sound it just great !
  2. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ksport-CNS361-KP-Kontrol-Pro-Coilovers-Kit-Nissan-240Z-260Z-280Z-/120923104351?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3A260Z&hash=item1c2794245f&vxp=mtr#ht_3963wt_1170 Any tried the K-sport setup?
  3. I talked to Kaaz the other day, and they do make a R180 27spline diff... but I guess it's alot cheaper to get a STI off ebay and install.
  4. When/How did you decide that the N1 didn't do it for your engine? I am not sure if I am going to spend all that cash on a oilpump, when I am not running the engine in the high hp numbers...
  5. There is a gtr in Norway running 1k hp on stock crank. He blew his engine last year though and today actually, he's on the dyno with his new os/giken RB3.0 engine. Maybe I can get a vid out this week.
  6. Sick! Is there a project tread for that car anywhere?
  7. Are the RB25 and RB26 oil pumps interchangable?
  8. Or why not go rice with a S2000 engine. There is this guy here in Norway that stroked his s2000 engine to 2.5l and running about 310hp on it. Pretty cool stuff.
  9. OT: so you will update your project to day 17 soon then? It's been a while since "3/5/2006" Looking forward to that already @ Deceeve: Thoose are usually on ebay. keep an eye on ebay in Australia also. Think Jps trading on ebay.com have sold a few of thoose.
  10. I just got the last super street and there are actually 2 Z in that magazine One black carbon creation and one orange with only a small picture. Black has a sr20det red top... They still dont beat Mark's though.
  11. I just came across theese, pretty nice. http://www.rosstuffbond.com.au/pages/metal_jacket.html
  12. HX is the new design and HY is the old style. Like garrett BB and old journal bearing. I did some reading on a honda forum where they experiment with Holset. http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1225182&postid=28266977 Some good reading there, but wrong engines
  13. L28 in a S13? 240sx/200sx or what you call them overe there.. Pics? Sry for offtopic.
  14. Aye, the boost only represent the amont of air that the engine wont eat. Pretty different numbers on thoose two. Wonder if I should get my head ported when I have it apart... So darn expencive.
  15. The holset's are used alot in Sweden on Volvo's and bimmers. Alot of information on http://www.savarturbo.se but in sweedish though. haha I'm gonna use a HX40 on my rb25det. It's pretty big and heavy so I might cut of some parts on the exhaust housing to reduce the weight. There is a Audi 1.8l turbo with a HX35/40 here in Norway that's doing pretty good. Not sure about spoolup though. Here are some old pics I have: Exhaust housing: 8.2 kg = 18lb !
  16. Nice engine bay. I also liked the radiator cover for the fan, but doesnt it reduce air going trough the radiator? Or does the fan pull the air trough all of the core?
  17. I assume air filter placement have something so say on this matter to.
  18. Otto engine efficiency ca 38% Engine power: 178kw Thats 38% so the other 62% would be 290 kw transferred to heat and strange sounds Not correct to calculate like this, but on theese long engines the water is really hot at cyl 5 and 6. Many tap their water at 2, 4 and 6 on the intake. Have a look here: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=107670&highlight=dreaded
  19. To use adjustable cam pulleys on both cams on the 25, I have to remove the NVCS system. Anyone remove this system or is it worth to keep? I guess aftermarket cams dont need adjustable pulleys. I found this post which had some info, but not enough..
  20. For a second there I couldnt figure out why the fuel return line went into the water catch tank Finaly good pictures of that extra water outlet from the intake. Nice project and pics. Thanks.
  21. You should really come to Norway and fill your tank Like 8,2 dollars for a 92 octane gallon Underground: What color code is that paint? Looks sweet. Why didnt you go twins instead of fatty turbo?
  22. I remember there was a post about theese guys that run jdmenginedepot.com, but I cant find it anywhere. Anyone have any experience with this company? I bought a s15 gearbox of theese guys some time ago and everything went smooth. But now I am going to buy some more stuff, but just want to check around whats on the market first. Since I live on the other side of the atlantic, I'd might just spend some time checking out who to buy from, and who not to buy from
  23. Sweet What a beast ! Pretty good numbers for stock engine.
