JDMFairladyZX Posted July 17, 2006 Share Posted July 17, 2006 Hey guys, new to hybridZ and so far i love the forum. Anyway i have a S130 that i have basically finished restoring bodywise. Only problem is now i have a N/A high mileage engine and a 5spd tranny with worn synchros. I want to do a affordable swap so i was thinking maybe a sr20 s13 redtop? Take a look at the costs thread in this forum to get an idea of what the swap costs. I love mine for the power and gas mileage, however I don't know whether I would tell anyone it was affordable. z_cars_rule Posted July 17, 2006 Share Posted July 17, 2006 hmm, i missed that affordable bit, this would not be the cheapest swap. how much power are you looking at, what are you using the car for? There are other easier options that i feel would be alot easier on the Budget for you. Another note, when doing a budget, take you original cost, now add atleast 20% extra for the things you have forgotten, i would add more like 40% though.
