Guest datsun_80
I've searched this but with no results. The JTR installation manual says the motor mounts are for a Chevy V8, but they never say what kind of V8. Everyone talks about using an LT1 but that’s hard to come by where I am. Can I use any model V8? Or are the mounts in different locations? Thanks, Tim
Bartman
The JTR mounts work for all 350 engines up to and including the LT1. Actually I think it will work for all small block Chevy's...so 327's, 283's etc will work as well.
jnjdragracing
All SBC and BBC motor mount postion is in the same location and distance from the bell housing. The only diffirence is on the BBC it is longer in the front. I even think the V6 4.3 liter is the same as well. Hope this helps..... Ps: we use a motor plate up from and a rear mid-plate. This way you can postion the engine anywhere you want, then fab your own transmission mount. John
