mull
If you want your dash cap to come off easy, use silicone. Not sure what kind of silicone the guy who mounted my dash cap used, but I kind of just pulled it off. No hassle. Good for me though since it was to be glued properly to the dash. Just a little heads up for those of you using silicone. I'm sure it stays in place and does the job though.
v8wannabe2
I pulled mine off a car at the wreckers 10 years ago, it was held on with silicone and came off pretty easy. When I put it on my car 9.5 years ago I used silicone too and it's worked great. When I installed mine I remember using a bunch of bricks wrapped in towels and clamps on the edges to hold it in place while the silicone dried. OperationZ
Has anybody installed a dash cap then tried to remove the speedometer or tach to replace a bulb or something? It seems almost impossible (without ruining you dash cap) to remove these.
v8wannabe2
Your right OperationZ, I had to take a dremel with a sanding drum to cut back the cover so my speedo and tach would slip out when I did my white face upgrade. But, it can be done.
