rustrocket
Just some updated pics on the ka turbo spitfire. Just got the car back from having the (chromoly) bar put in, as well as engine mounts made.
240hoke
Looks like a cool project. I have always loved those cars.
veritech-z
I used to know a guy that was doing a 200sx turbo spit (don't remember the engine code, but it was one of the rwd S12 turbos). I never did get to see it finished though. That looks like a fun project, for sure! Are all those weld seams from rust repair, or is that some kind of strengthening procedure? rustrocket
They're for strengthening. We had to cut part of the factory bit out to make clearance for the engine. I think the 200sx engine was the ca-18det, but i might be wrong.
jbk240z
I know those old spitfires are pretty light. It should make a killer combo when done. Any weight estimates?
