Hope this helps Duke,

The small line is a vent to allow air to get out as the tank is filling.. unfortunately for my weekend these pics are making it clear to me I need to finish putting sound deadener and the aluminum panels in the trunk to finish it off... looks really unfinished in there.

Duke, I'm assuming you are asking about the filler lines. The old filler hoses and expansion tank are gone of course and the holes for them are just filled in. The lines to and from the engine run in almost the original locations. Our fuel pump is mounted to the original plate that held the stock pump even. Only real difference is we have much larger lines, pump, and proper AN fittings with braided and aluminum line.

Duke,

No, not the stock tank -we had a race shop fabricate a custom aluminum 22gallon fuel cell. It has two return lines and the pump is a Holley pump for EFI using size -8 AN line to the pump with 1/2" hardline to the front of the car and then back to -8 braided line under the hood. I have some pics of the tank being made with some of the internal baffles visible. It's pretty heavily baffled with a huge feed line to (hopefully) keep the pump from sucking air :)

The pump we're using puts through 67gph@45psi

Will see if I can find a few pics of the tank

On another thread about 'GTOs everywhere' there is a photo of chelle's car and I belive Kim's. I noticed that chelle's seem to have a more typical 250 GTO flattened oval grill opening. Is that just chelle's particular kit or has it been modified? And, does the seemingly smaller opening create any cooling issues? Does anyone know if the larger opening on most kits was just to avoid too much similarity with the Ferrari (legal issues) or is it necessary for cooling? Thanks.

lol, Duke, I haven't done anything major all week on it and feel terrible about that.. this morning though I have about 6 tasks planned. REALLY neglecting our other cars though - Haley's eclipse spyder is filthy, haven't even touched Lambo in like 3 months :(

I was a total bum though and after the F1 race ended at like 2:30 this morning I went to bed and slept in till after 8:30!! Six whole hours wasted asleep..

sheesh..

Boy from Oz,

My guess would be it was bigger on the Alpha (and the cars made from variations of that mold) to aid in cooling. Z-cars were pretty notorious for being warm under the hood anyway. Our car has had every panel modified in some way. The smaller, more accurate grill opening isn't a problem for us as we also added the three openings under the grill, made the gills in the fenders functional by adding engine compartment heat exhaust fan openings behind the front wheels, and of course a huge crossflow stock car style radiator.

Here's a couple pics showing the changes to the nose

COOL... I'm doing this to mine when it's time for body work and paint. That is... if you don't mind me copying your work, Chelle:-D

I mean this in a good way, Chelle... from the front, the GTO sort of looks like a flattened happy blow fish, don't you think?
