Beware that the pics are bigger than previously taken. I've got a new camera and am still getting used to it. Should be interleaved pics and none are bigger than 250K but still - much bigger. check out the Konig wheel shot - much better no? icon_smile.gif Just played aorund and took a ton of shots, threw a few away, cropped like MAD, and then posted them. Wish I'd had this from the beginning! Lemme' know if anyone wants anything in particular taken. icon_biggrin.gif

Wow, the pics look great! The car is coming together really nice!

Wooo. Those pics are too big though. Get Ulead PhotoImpact or something and cut them down bud! icon_wink.gif I like PhotoImpact because it has a WYSIWYG compression engine (smartsaver) that lets you see the result as you slide the compression bar from max to min.

The car is looking Great!

Yeah, I know it's huge. Didn't have much time to play with it last night. Took the shots at MAX resolution too icon_smile.gif I've got Photoshop but it's not real helpful in that can't see the changes until after I've saved. PITA! Will hunt up the software you mentioned and try to cut them down (sigh). Interlacing brings the file size up too! icon_rolleyes.gif

Hrm, $89... not too bad - will trial it fiorst icon_smile.gif Thanks Pete!

I am SOOO depressed. I got my car back today. My 8pt S&W cage looks good, but now my car is only good for people 5' and smaller. I just didn't do my homework. Now I have spent $200 on a cage and almost $500 on installation. The cross bar in the main hoop is too high to slide the seats back at all. I'm 6' tall. The main hoop is resting on the shelf behind the seat belts (in front of the storage boxes) as far forward is it will go, and is leaning back as far back as it will go without touching the wheel wells. I was thinking if I had the hoop's cross bar lowered or replaced with something that extends backward a bit, I would be able to give myself back some leg room, but my skull would be firmly planted in the top of the main hoop. I feel like an *ss. I didn't do my homework, and now I'm screwed. Even if I sit up so straight it looks like I have a pole up my *ss, I can't slide far enough back to be even remotely comfortable. The wheel is going to hit my legs. .. and everything was going SOOO well till now. Hmm.. wonder how much I can get a tube notcher and a mig welder for...

I guess this is why my bar sits the way it does. I'm 6'2" and push the seat all the way back against the bar but am fairly comfortable.

I guess this does give me a bunch more room huh? I think this is how your's will have to be done. Don't feel bad though, mine was done "wrong" the first time too. The top hoop was run UNDER the plastic piece that holds the dome light. When I pointed out that this wasn't how I wanted it and that my HEAD was HIGHER than the bar they fixed it for me - no charge. If you told them where to put it and they did exactly as you said then I'd expect they will charge you. Especially since moving it back will require new side bars and new bars along the roof if you had those done. Doh! icon_eek.gif Sorry to hear about this man...

I'll try to take some tonight, no one's ever asked me for those before icon_smile.gif You'll get to see the neat rollbar wrap. I did have to notch the padding near the steering wheel as otherwise my hand rubbed it icon_eek.gif The front bars make using the dead pedal tough too which bugs me some but not too much. Will try to get the pics tonight while I'm out there...

Check out Mike Kz's installation of the cross bar. http://members.tripod.com/~SnowSurfer/mikekz4.html

I "borrowed" his idea for my S&W Roll Bar. It works OK, but I should have gone with more set back though. I only went with two inches of extra bar material (that's all I could find laying on the floor) while Mike has at least three. Regardless, at 6 foot 3, I can still drive my Z comfortably.
