dune333racing
How do you determine what gallon per hour fuel pump you need? I have a Chevy 383 stroker with the following componets: 1996 engine block Vortec heads GM Performance Hyd. Roller cam The duration at .050" tappet lift (intake/exhaust) is 234/242; and maximum lift with 1.5:1 rocker ratio (intake/exhaust) is 539/558. Valve lash is zero/zero and lobe centerline is 112 degrees. Pop N Wood
Try this link http://centuryperformance.com/fuel.asp Pretty good info, but I think their recomendations on fuel line sizing runs a full size larger than any other place I looked at. I plan on running a Mallory Comp 140 pump. According to the link above, I would need 1/2 supply and return, yet Mallory recommends 3/8 inch line with the pump I mentioned.
