HICKL
Does anyone have any pics of the CV adapter setup that get's welded on one side? I've seen one but can't remember how it was set up. Short of that, could someone just explain to me how it is setup? Thanks Jeff
nullbound
There are some good pics of the Z31-style adapters on the modern-motorsports website. I'm using these on my 240 and will soon purchase them for my 260. The quality is excellent. http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=56 The 280ZX-style adapters are done similarly, but the adapter that's welded to the companion flange is different. For both adapter types, the flanges are countersunk into the adapters and then welded. http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=5 Some better pics of these on Scottie's webpage: http://home.cfl.rr.com/scottiegnz/gnz.html
HICKL
So what's the preferred method, Welded or bolt up???
nullbound
Welded adapter to companion flange, bolting the cv's to the adapter. All you have to do is pay and send a set of companion flanges to Ross at Modern Motorsports. That gets you the adapter welded to your companion flange and all necessary bolts. Lots of people here are using them with success.
HICKL
Not to take any business away from Ross but I run a large machine shop and enjoy making my own parts whenever possible. I'm just doing my homework before I begin. Thanks Jeff
