LMoore56
I have posted some pictures in the HybidZ photo album of the crossmember that I made from a Mustang pedal assy and a 280Z pedal assy. I mated the two together about four years ago. It uses the Mustang pedals and they seem to real close to the stock location. With this you use the cable to activate the clutch. With this you can use the Mustang power brake booster and master cylinder also. I had to redrill a couple of the holes, but it mounted fine. I'm new at this and not sure how to get the pictures from the photo album to here. http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11081&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11080&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11079&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11078&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11077&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11076&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11075&limit=recent http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=11073&limit=recent
Capt_Zorro
That looks good, do you have any drawings of what needs to be changed on the assembly's to interchange them?
LMoore56
I'm sorry, but I converted this about 4 years ago and did'nt even think of pictures or drawings. Along time before I found this site. I did'nt know how I was going to get the clutch to work. I tried everything that I could think of, to covert the Z pedal assembly for the cable. And nothing seemed to work. So I bought the Mustang pedal assembly, put them side by side and thats what I came up with. While I have this one out of the car, I'm going to look at it and cut the other two where they need to be. Then I will get some pictures and post them. Its going to be a short time before I can do it since I've been busy here lately.
Capt_Zorro
OK thanks, I know what you mean. I put the engine in mine about 18 yrs. ago and just happened to make an extra set of motor mounts at the time. When I found this site I dug them out and made some drawings of them for the guy's that wanted to try them. A buddy of mine modified the Z pedals with a quadrant he made that works good also. I've got his plans somewhere if I could find them...
LMoore56
I've have some land that I've got sold and close on next week, that I have alot of stuff stored at. I'm trying to get the stuff moved, so I can get busy with my cars again. Between work and moving, I've been worn out and not getting anything done. I found the front half of the Z peddle assymbly, so that will make it easier to cut the other. I will get it done as soon as possible.
