DRIVER: Derrick Allen AGE: 29 HOMETOWN: CINCINNATI OHIO Derrick is the director of the Midwest region of U.S.DRIFT and regarded as one of the best drifters in the Midwest. He is noted as being the father of the drifting scene in the Midwest, bringing the first sanctioned drift events to the area. With 11 years of drifting experience Derrick is the go to guy for many of the younger generation of drifters , He is well respected as a drift instructor, not only at u.s.drift events but even with other groups and is often invited to envied to events for instructional advise and to judge, or for demonstrations. FUTURE PLANS AND GOALS My goal in drifting is to be the best I can be, and to help the sport grow and have fun doing it. To promote myself and my sponsors in a positive way by drifting as many hi profile events as possible, Formula D and Drift mania “DMCC†Canada’s new pro drifting series, as well as doing demos and getting the sport of drifting out there to the masses, all while keeping a humble, positive attitude, and having fun. THE CAR ENGINE 2.8 TURBO POWER: 325HP Weight 2250 lbs Outbrake motorsports has built this car from the ground up to be a serious contender in the Formula D pro drifting series. Many of the suspension and upgrade parts needed for drifting are one of a kind parts developed by outbrake motorsports. The car is a favorite of the spectators at all the events due to its classic styling and appeal, and loud kandy blue paint. Looks that kill and performance to back it up. The most common reaction from spectators and other drivers seeing the car for the first time is jaw dropping awe, the paint work was done by 131 collision in Milford Ohio, and there meticulous attention to detail definitely shows in this automotive work of art.
