X64v Posted October 23, 2006 Share Posted October 23, 2006 The way the system calculates everything (it's called a speed density system), an afm is not needed. Alex_V Posted October 24, 2006 Share Posted October 24, 2006 It uses a MAP sensor (manifold absolute pressure) that measures exactly the vaccume or boost in the intake.
