Guest GM-7 Rocket
I'm in the prosses of changing mt T-5 for a T-56 in my 84 RX-7 but I ran in to the problem of not getting the clutch line and not wanting to buy a $184 master/slave and line set-up from GM. I just bought a 1" wilwood master (which is requiered for my set-up) and now need to connected it to this PITA slave. I have heard that some have drilled and taped them with gret sucsess . so I'm here to ask: What size tool do I need and where do can I find them and also instruction or hits would be helpful too. Also anyone had a custom line made buy a local hose shop for a direct fit? I have a company named Hufca Inc that make custom braided hoses but I was wondering about price. Thanks, JR

cho240z
you can get a quick disconnect line from Mcleod for around 70 bucks, -4 an on the other side. easy, and you dont have to mess with your slave.

Well that sounds nice but I'm trying to reframe from spending $70 on a part that’s not even 2in^3 big. my budget is stretch enough as it is. I could get two more slave and have 3 shots at it for $70 . Anyone know where to get a fitting like the one in the pictures? Any more help? Guest GM-7 Rocket
Earl's brand in the summit catalog. They have all the stainless braided line you could ever want. They're still not as cheap as http://www.speedwaymotors.com/xq/aspx/dept_id.13/display_id.1992/qx/product.htm But was I right? an an-3 fitting is a 3/16" fitting and a an-4 fitting is 1/4" fitting right? Pop N Wood
But was I right? an an-3 fitting is a 3/16" fitting and a an-4 fitting is 1/4" fitting right? Thanks, JR Well, yes and no. An an-3 fitting can be used with 3/16 hardline and an an-4 used with 1/4 hardline. But the fitting itself has a different angle (37°) whereas standard fittings are 45°. You can't put an AN fitting on a coupling made for a standard fitting. You also need a different flaring tool for AN vs. standard fittings (37° vs. 45°) Not sure which question you are asking. cho240z
the mcleod part is the entire line. 22 inches long i think, all you need is the line and then a -4 an to 3/8 inverted flare adapter cody
