RacerX
if you can install a particular engine into the Porsche 914 engine bay without having to hack up sheetmetal - wouldn't it then be conceivable that the same motor would fit within the 240Z engine compartment? Thanks, RacerX

Administrators RTz Posted November 14, 2006 Administrators Share Posted November 14, 2006 if you can install a particular engine into the Porsche 914 engine bay without having to hack up sheetmetal - wouldn't it then be conceivable that the same motor would fit within the 240Z engine compartment? Its not that simple... that is to say, its not apples to apples. The 914 is a north-south mid-engine car. I don't recall the Z being that way In all fairness, an S30 has a HUGE engine bay. There's not much that won't fit in there A proper decision is more likely to be influenced by cost's or goal's than "what can I fit in there?".
