stephen87 Posted November 25, 2006 Share Posted November 25, 2006 I have an opertunity to get the transversely mounted sr20det set up, and i was wondering, is it possible to use the engine with a rwd trans? is it even possible to use it in a rwd application such as a zcar or 240sx? Lunar240z Posted November 26, 2006 Share Posted November 26, 2006 no, the fwd/rwd dont bolt up. ive tried it personally. with a sr16ve block/ and a 6speed tranny. maybe half of the bolt holes line up. the accessories are different too. you'd also need to get a rwd intake manifold. there is however an adapter plate for using a fwd engine with a Z tranny, search on SR20forum.com to find out about it. or you could use the fwd head and get a rwd sr20 shortblock/tranny/intake manifold Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
