Kinked_Chrome
I just picked up a set of the bolt-on offset '81 maxima brackets. I could not believe that they had them, as I thought they were impossible to find. Before i left the yard i pulled off the rear caliper on a '90 300ZX (Z32, right?), but the bolt pattern was different. I thought that I had read in the archives that the Z32 caliper would bolt on to it. Do i have the right bracket? Wrong caliper? Wrong everything? If the Z32 stuff does not fit at all, what are my other options? Thanks for any help.
SleeperZ
Which caliper type did the bracket have mounted to it? What is the center-center distance of the caliper mounting holes? The only bolt-on offset Maxima caliper brackets I've seen so far had the narrower ears for the old style calipers. I'm on a tight budget right now -- I'm even considering trying to hacksaw and chisel off some welded on Maxima brackets.. Anybody do this?? Guest scca
i dont think the welded on bracket has the correct offset. i've only looked at one set but they didnt appear to be the same as the "correct" bracket that i had in my hand to compare. -- and the maxima bracket that bolts on is ONLY for the 82-83 ZX caliper NOT the 300 type. with the 300 type you have no ebrake.. but I just had a bunch of spot ebrake brakets CNC cut and will be offering these in about a week or so. the first setup is done - with vented rotor and the solid type rotor setup will be done in a few days (guessing??) pics to follow sometime soon
