9kredline
Hi all again, I've been doing a lot of wondering and planning lately, what with trying to find a LD28 Maxima for a daily and trying to get my project slicktop back on the road, and I was contemplating a motor build and wanted to gather some input. As much as I like 300zxclub.com, the folks with the most knowledge are often skeptics and, well, elitists who already have impressive motors. Anyways... I would like to build a motor for my Z32 while I drive it as an NA so I can do it piece by piece and I would like to see how for I can realistically push the displacement. I would like to see 3.5L or more (There was a 4.0L project with a Cima block in the past). Is this possible? With sonic testing the walls/sleeving? Is a custom, longer stroke crank feasible/affordable? The crank available from the JDM market is over $10k, but that's for a name... could a good shop use a stock crank as a template and not break my wallet too a great extent? You guys have always been great to me. Any input will be appreciated! Clayton
