naviathan
Saw these on eBay for cheap, but what is with the second hose barb on the side of the injector?
naviathan
Here's the ebay ad... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1976-83-NISSAN-MAXIMA-280ZX-FUEL-INJECTORS-SET-OF-6_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33554QQihZ006QQitemZ160038258399QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V
GrommitZ
Those are not the l28 turbo injectors.
naviathan
I gathered that, but I'm curious about the second barb, I've never seen anything like that.
alexideways
Maybe for meth. or NO2 injection ?!?!?!?????
naviathan
I guess that's possible but the ad said nothing about that.
alexideways
Could also be for a multi-fuel powered vehicle??????? I'm really just shooting ideas here, I really don't know what I'm talking about here.
Cethern
A Return line?
alexideways
A Return line? Never seen sutch a thing but, never seen injectors with 2 barbs either so, I guess it could be a possibility, that would mean the injectors include a small press. regulator but, never heard of anything like that. naviathan
One of the guys in my office was a motorcycle mechanic for many years and he said on EFI bikes they have injectors like that sometimes, but there's two reasons for the second intake. On some models it's an air intake for better mixture in the spray and others it's a secondary feed line. He said it could also be a return line for a self regulated injector, but wouldn't make any sense on a car with multiple injectors like ours. I emailed the seller a week ago and never received a responce. I might call and ask.
alexideways
First thing, it would be nice to know where they came from. Is it a set cobbled together or it really is a set of 6? Maybe it could be coming from an 1 injector motorbike but the guy took 6 and made a set out of it.
naviathan
That's the questions I want answered. The price is awesome, but I want to know what's what here before diving into a set. The guy has a 100% positive feedback score so I don't think he's out to screw anyone. Maybe just misinformed.
