KTM-EXC Posted December 22, 2006 Share Posted December 22, 2006 I decided to get rid of my H1C and picked up an HY35. Iv been struggling to get the exhaust housing off for a while now and no luck. I removed the Vband and have been soaking the turbo in penatrating fluid. Is there anything else holding the it together other then the Vband? nish Posted December 22, 2006 Share Posted December 22, 2006 There are two small locating dowels that will keep it from spinning, so it'll have to be pulled strait off. Maybe try tapping around the edge lightly with a hammer. Or just give the penetrating oil more time. My HY is basically brand new and the housing still took some vigorous wiggling to separate.
