QuickSilverAWD
Has anyone done this because unlike a LS1 tank that is plastic the LT1 is metal and would be sumped easily. The tank also looks to be flat on the top and would seem to make for a much easier mounting. Just a thought that came across when I was looking at a local fbody forum. Mike kZ
Not sure about an LT1 tank, but I added a sump to my 240Z tank. Works well!
getZ
You shouldn't need to sump a tank that was designed for fuel injection. It should have enough traps and/or baffles to prevent fuel starvation.

I am going to attempt that very thing in my 280Z. My donor car is a '94 Z28 and my plan is to use the fuel tank and pump. Gonna take some fabrication for sure. Biggest issue is the filler neck is on the wrong side, hopefully I can just flip the tank around.
