warrenp Posted January 2, 2002 Share Posted January 2, 2002 i'm trying to find a 4 lug to 5 lug conversion for either chevy or nissan wheels, i bought nissan 300zx 90-96 wheels and i bought a set of 84-87 corvette wheels. will either of the 2 sick out past the fender wells? if so how far? and how much for the conversion kit and where do i get a set? Guest scca Posted January 2, 2002 Share Posted January 2, 2002 Z hubs dont have enough meat to drill 5 on 5" pattern so unless you go to a solid axle thats not really a option. - well unless you want to use spacer/adpaters. changing to 300 5 lug is easy. rear setup with calipers complete with lines and ebrake extensions is about $650 shipped fronts you can do used or new. i have Z32 rims on my car lots of pics of it online Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
warrenp Posted January 2, 2002 Author Share Posted January 2, 2002 yep, i want to go with adapters for the front i'm using a 12 bolt rear. i know the 300zx rear is easier. i just wanna try to make the whole drive train from front to back GM even my 6-71 blower came off a GM 6-71 dertoit. Cable Posted August 28, 2004 Share Posted August 28, 2004 i heard way back that a old firechicken / camaro hub had the same bearings as a Z. its possible you could use that front hub and then make brakes around it. 5 on 5 stuff is cheap as its the same as late model stock car setups I have heard about using a 1st GEN F-Body (Camaro/Firebird) rotor/hub on 1st GEN Z's, they use the same bearing and just bolt on without any other mods.
