fl327
hey yall, hey i was out testing out some mods on the red car and i noticed a pull to the left when i brake hard i went and started checking around under the car. the tc rod bushing was non existant behind mounting ear. i go to put a rod back in, and the bushing wont go in squarely, causing the bushing to go into the back of the ear kinda off center, and the bolt wont go down squarely, any clues, the front of the arm goes into the control arm just fine at the two bolts, but its when it goes into the ear things get funny???? any help will be greatly appreciated. thanx yall. blueovalz
Are you assembling the control arm part first (bolts and all). If so, leave the bolts out, assemble the rear first, then put the bolts through everything in the control arm last.
fl327
hey just worked it out, thanks terry it worked just great. i bolted it up on the ear first so i could get the nut and a small washer around the back and get some threads down on it, then i bolted it to the control arm, which i had to jack up and move about a quarter inch towards the front of the car to center, tightened those bolts and let it sit there overnight. then in the morning i loosened the back bolt, and put the big washer back in and made sure both sides were threaded the same depth and took her for a spin.....
