Wiring diagram

I'm cleaning up some of the wiring in my 77 280Z. It had a 327 but it's going to get an aluminum head 350 very soon. The previous work left a lot of useless wiring in the engine compartment. I'm looking to get rid of a lot. But I need a diagram to make life easier for me.

Any suggestions?

You mean that big ugly cable on the driver's side? The previous owner, who we think did the conversion, left it in place, just taped it off and left it in the engine compartment.

Can I follow the bundle back into the passenger compartment and disconnect it there? I'm hoping for a connector at the other end.

The links Mike kZ gave me were helpful, I just hope they're enough. I should have done a better job of marking all my wires...dang!

I have 7 wires coming from through the bulkhead that I need to identify:

yellow/black

yellow/dashed blue

black/blue

blue

white/black

black/white

and one red that appears to run outside the original bundle.

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. a ZZ4 350 aluminum head is going in....can't wait!:-P

Get a haynes manual. It has a pretty good diagram of the 280z's, if you've got a magnifying glass and patients. You'll want to double check this, but if I remember right, the...

Black/ white is your ignition - KOEO

Yellow/ black is temp sending unit

Blue is ammeter gauge. (alough there are two blue wires in the same bundle that are similar, if not exactly the same in gauge size ammeter

Black/ blue is oil sending unit.

like I said, double check it.
