Guest 280ZForce
Hey guys, I've got my engine disassembled and I'm going over everything cuz the PO of this engine obviously thought he knew what the engine has, but really didn't know sh*t about it. As for the head work, he said it was ported and polished w/ an aggressive cam from Top End Performance (TEP)...well I was in contact with TEP today and it's not from them! So now it's a mystery cam...GREAT! I'm pretty sure it's no where near stock cuz my car is pretty lopy sounding...most people think it sounds like a v8 out the back. Any and all help in identifying the maker of this cam and all the specs on it would be much appreciated as I'm going to be getting some major head work done and also need to know everything about this cam to get everything in tune or if I should ditch this cam and buy a different one. Video from my old camera of the car idling, so sound isnt a crisp as it should be, but you get the point... Here's the bad boy itself... Well the castings on the front end of the cam show like this... says "14878" then "260F", then I belive it to be an "M" or "W"... and the casting letters/#s along the cam show this... towards the front end of the cam - "EPAC" about a 1/3 way over - "CWC" about 1/2 way down - "H-26" Then on far end of cam one 1 side "D2" and then on other side "C2"... Again, major thanks in advance if you can help or attempt to help.
David K
Ill make a safe guess that its a Schneider cam. It might not even be a turbo cam.
