Roostmonkey
did/do any of the RB26's use a push style clutch? I was told they do and I'm hoping to use a 26 flywheel and starter on a 25 tranny. Can this work?
240Z_Master
did/do any of the RB26's use a push style clutch? I was told they do and I'm hoping to use a 26 flywheel and starter on a 25 tranny. Can this work? Flywheel and starter shouldn't matter as to pull or push type from what I understand. Now I'm not sure if your RB26 starter bolts to the RB25, that's a question I can't answer. But as for the flywheel, push or pull type clutches bolt onto the same factory stock flywheel. The flywheels can be different if you have aftermarket pull/push multiple plates. If I am wrong please correct me anyone.
Roostmonkey
well the starter bolts up to the 25 tranny just fine.I have the opportunity to trade the billet Nismo pull style clutch that came with the 26 for an HKS twin plate push style also for a 26. I'm told the early R32's had the push clutch.
