Ferd/289 Posted May 15, 2007 Share Posted May 15, 2007 I was mixing some 'junk' paint ie Acrylic Enamel, that had gotton a little dry'ish. I noticed that the list of ingredients included Xylene and Acetone. So I added both a little Xylene and Acetone. I seemed to work good to refresh the paint. Brad-ManQ45 Posted May 15, 2007 Share Posted May 15, 2007 Xylene and Axetone are both solvents - Acetone the more aggressive of the two. Thinning and cleanip can be done with them when using paints that are compatible. Zero Rust recommends the use of Xylene as a thinner.
