ben280zx
I just spoke to a machine shop next to my uncle job about making a manifold gasket and a head gasket, he doesn't do a couple here and there. Minimum is 200. My question is; Who wants one? and How much ARE you WILLING to pay for it? What type of material would you like? steel/aluminum? I haven't got a price quote yet but he said he will make it if I bring him an example. This place also produce brand name product.
z-ya
A big bore (89mm) 1mm thick gasket would be nice. Metal layered like the NISMO gasket. As far as I know the 1mm NISMO gaskets are NLA.
katman
You can get a one off custom copper head gasket in practically any thickness for less than $100 from Gasket Works, Richard Clark Gaskets, et al. I hope you weren't planning on making a head gasket out of aluminum.
Matt K
Doesn't Tomei make one already?
