Loading the Flasher with LEDs for Turn Signals

Hi Guys,

I looked though a lot of the posts last night and didn't find quite what I was looking for, but I think it helped me reach the right answer. Now I'm looking for confirmation on my reasoning.

I butchered my autometer gauges (shown, if the upload works) and now have LEDs for the turn signals. I figured not having the same load (5 ohm) bulb would make the flasher inoperable, but after reading the posts I realized that there must be some load in the flasher, and furthermore, that the turn signal indicator bulb load relative to the load of the front and rear exterior indicators is probably trivial.

I've now convinced myself that I don't have to do any further parallel loading of the LED and I'll still have a blinking signal, albiet at a slightly different rate.

My question - Am I right or wrong? Will my blinkers still blink?

Thanks,

David O.
