mario_82_ZXT
I blew my head gasket almost 2 weeks ago at the drags. The car had a wrong spark map and was hitting 55 deg advance. This was before the swap from my 280zx into my 280z. I fixed the timing issues, richened up my fuel map, and went to the drags. Hit a respectable 14.4 stock turbo engine (other then Megasquirt) and blew the gasket. It sounded like an exhaust leak (and felt like one too), two exhaust gaskets and a manifold machining later, I figure out it's the headgasket. Put it all back together and the car is running great, minus the smoke... For the most part it doesn't smoke on idle, only when I rev it or get on it. How can I check to see if it's my turbo that's gone, or valve guides, or rings? Thanks in advance, Mario
