Guest Bulldog55 Posted June 21, 2007 Share Posted June 21, 2007 Kinda new development. I took my 77 2+2 on a road trip last night. Took me back and forth 150+ miles no problems. Started fine this morning took me to work. But, now at lunch time appeers I have a definate short. I can watch the volt meter appeers normal upper end of the guage until I turn it to the run position. Then it drops to about 8 volts or so. If I then turn the key back off or into the acc position it takes 5-10 sec then returns to normal. (thinking this might be a relay?) It was very foggy and misty this morning could water been trapped someware that would cause this? (I suppect but not shure wich lines to look at. I did the fusable link upgrade from Blue's pages and have had no issues prior. I've check the obvious batt cables fusable links ect... Thanks!! z or bust Posted June 23, 2007 Share Posted June 23, 2007 I've had this problem a couple of times. Mine have all turned out to be just dead cells in the battery.
