Chewievette
What kind of supporting mods would you need to do for a LD28T? Beyond say a normal L28ET swap. The Fuel system would have to be changed out of course but is there anything else that needs attention? and what exactly would you need for the fuel system? OlderThanMe
I am guessing the head would have to me modified for modern injectors. Also get a cummins or similar truck high pressure fuel pump (or whatever is used in a diesel)... Then go up in bore as big as you can go. With forged pistons you could raise compression ratio a bit from 20:1 to like 23-25:1. I'll start a new thread about building a LDT motor. With an intercooler, propane injection, and some other tricks you could have a fearsome little beast of a motor. Oil pickup would also have to be changed for a rear sump. Chewievette
And if that one turbo isnt enough you could alway compound it, simple enough on a diesel. 50psi easy. I hope you got good head studs! I'll have to look into this, it sounds very interesting and I happen to know where to pickup an LD for cheap.
