cygnusx1
The fuel pump should go back on once you start cranking and you get a spark signal I think. I do not believe there are any LED's lit until the car is running. Then you should have one flashing with spark, and one indicating Warmup Enrichment. TONY C
when you first power the msq all 3 led will flash very slightly 1 time. the fuel pump will also pump momentarilly until psi is reached. then when you crank the car and get a tach or rpm signal then the pump will kick back on and off again as needed. if you have no tach or rpm signal while cranking than check the cranking rpm settings on megatune. set it to like 250 rpm. also check your ignition setup choices in megatune. if that does not work then check all your wireing from the coil and dizzy to the msq. good luck. peace
cygnusx1
I am not sure about the 81 but if it's an 82-83 dist..... There are some jumpers you need to move around on MS-II and add the resistor in the dist wiring. It's detailed on the DIYAutotune page. Did you wire it like they said? http://diyautotune.com/tech_articles/how_to_megasquirt_your_280zx_turbo.htm Here are some of my settings and msq file updated tonight. http://forums.hybridz.org/showpost.php?p=774480&postcount=

MaTTSuN
i got some good new and i got some bad new well its all good news to me i got spark now and she started but she runs like crap poppin and crackin but i know why it pops and cracks first off the reason i didnt have spark is because the resistor on the 12v switch power to the rpm signal was to great. I bought a value pack of resistors and i didnt relize that they are not all the same, so i figured out the right one to put in and she fired up the reason its poppin and crackin is i took my crank pully off and reclocked my cas wheel one bolt hole advanced because thats what TONYD did in his 81 build up but i dont think i need to do that since it ran like crap with that done ill be puting it back sometime this weekend or maybe monday after work shouldnt be more than a 15 min fix im so excited that i have the megasquirt running and everything seams to work or at least it all should once i fix my mistake i took my rab out so the test drive will be a little longer but this is the week it runs and this will be the month i have it on the road SO EXCITED THANKS HYBRIDZERS HAHA matt
