100
For a 1973 240z, what is the OD of the strut tubes? I am installing coilovers and need to buy some metal tubing to weld to the tubing so the threaded sleeve can sit on it. I am thinking about getting some 2" ID tubing. BTW how thick tubing should I go with? I was thinking 1/4" but maybe 3/16... The car is at my old mans shop 1hr away that's why I can't measure this myself. Thanks! Bartman
The 240Z strut tubes are approixately 51mm OD and 280Z strut tubes are approximately 56mm OD. I believe Ground Control will sell you the proper sized support ring (for the threaded sleeve) to weld on to your strut tubes for around six bucks each. 100
Thanks! So 51mm = 2.0094 The 2" ID tubing should work great then, may just need to grind a little. What do you guys suggest 1/4" or 3/16" thick tubing?
