naviathan
Got a new toy to play with today off of Freecycle. There's one more there I need to get, but it was completely assembled and weighed my little ranger down way too much. The other one came out of a boat and this one was intended to replace it but the guy that was going to do it passed away. I'll put it to good use. I've never rebuilt a Ford engine before, but I figure it can't be that hard. So what do you think?

OlderThanMe
SCORE!!! I've looked at freecycle before but around here people mostly give away junk not worth driving 2 miles to pick up. GREAT FIND!
naviathan
I keep track of the two freecycles in my area. It's usually WIC stuff, baby supplies and clothes, but occasionally there's some good stuff on there.
naviathan
So where's the Ford guys? What's involved in fitting a SBF V8 into a ZX?
OlderThanMe
My buddy called me up today wanting to give me a Ford 289 that needs a FULL rebuild. I told him I am at my max for engine storage. 2 L6 engine blocks,1 VH45DE with tranny, most of the parts from an LD28, and a bunch of other misc little pieces, a holset, and more... Can't cram any more into a 2 car garage with 2 sportscars. Oh well.
