None of the rear cylinders are dropping the rpms when I disconnected the spark plug wires. My friend said that the rpms dropped on the first three but nothing happened on the last three. Administrators BRAAP Posted August 21, 2007 Administrators Share Posted August 21, 2007 Being as the rear carb feeds the rear 3 cylinders, and those same 3 cylinders are not firing, then the carb is by default the strongest common denominator for sure. fhptom Posted August 25, 2007 Share Posted August 25, 2007 I thought I had the same problem on 72 240Z on a trip from KY to Kansas. Tried everything out on the road but could not figure it out. Car would barely make it up any hills on the interstate. Got home and my dad took off the valve cover and the camshaft had twisted in half and I had driven all the way home on the 3 front cylinders.
