I scored me some Maxima Caliper brackets.

Well, I got those caliper brackets off the Maxima at the pick and pull. No charge, thank you very much. These are the correct offset bolt-on brackets. The car was a 3/81 build date and it is a diesel. I've started pulling the motor to get the crank out of it.

I've got a '83 ZX parts car, that I'm gonna pull the rest of the rear brakes off of, so I'll have rear discs on my driver 2thumbs.gif

Thanks guys for the input on removing the stub axles at the JY. I ended up using a 1 1/16" socket, a breaker bar with a four foot pipe, a four foot long pinch bar stuffed in the wheel studs, and a friend. I made an adapter for my slide hammer that attached to the wheel studs using the lug nuts. It worked very well(plus my slide hammer is huge) About six good tugs and out came the stub axle.

A pinch bar is the long bars with a chisel shape on one end. Railroads use them for moving ties and rails into place. I use it to heavy machines like Mills and lathes. The chisel end gets a grip on the floor and gives you leverage.

Pretty much like a wrecking bar from like home depot? 3' long or so and has a chisel like tip on one end and a crow bar on the other end? I used one of them many times for like demolition of old construction in houses and stuff. Very intimidating tool. :D

What are you considering for the e-brake? Does it appear that you may be able to use the Zx cable for the calipers? Or are you thinking of just eliminating the e-brake?
